METRICS FOR ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE
When it comes to engineering teams, it may seem very obvious which metrics are good and which aren’t, but is it so? We can see many people measuring code coverage, whenever they want to ensure quality but does it really help improve quality? Not just code coverage, there are quite a few metrics that we believe to be good yet they are bad. Similarly, there are a few metrics that we do not care about yet they lead the team towards excellent engineering.
